After a number of years of succesfull collaboration on various projects, Chris Eckman (THE WALKABOUTS) and THE BAMBI MOLESTERS have finally joined forces to form a new band under the name THE STRANGE. Their debut album is called "Nights of Forgotten Films", and is scheduled for release 1st June 2004. on Dancing Bear Records from Zagreb, Croatia. This 11-songs-2-inch-tape album was recorded in January 2004., engineered and co-produced by Phil Brown, old school production wizard who learned his trade well working with names such as Bob Marley, LED ZEPPELIN, ROXY MUSIC and many, many more. So, prepare yourselves for the first single, "Tonight, I Will Say Anything", and check out THE STRANGE promo shows, starting in June in Croatia and Slovenia! Special guest Scott McCaughey, MINUS 5 and R.E.M.'s good genius, will join THE STRANGE on stage on their first six shows.
